Trivia 2L

Has anyone else noticed the many similarities between an Islamic Jihad and the little moron's stupid and useless war on the Afghan people?  Both are based on organized superstitions, one that God rewards those who die while defending the faith and the other that god has so little to do that he would take the time to give a damn about any nation or group on Earth.  Nevertheless, both deceptions lead to stupid and useless loss of the most precious of gifts; life itself.  How very sad for all concerned.

Are you aware that every 12 oz. can of Coca Cola contains 10 teaspoons of sugar?  Get a twelve ounce glass and put 10 teaspoons of sugar into it.  That's what people are ingesting with every can and that surely doesn't come close to representing how much sugar is in one of those Big Gulp cups that are so popular.  Yuck!  And parents wonder why kids spend so much time bouncing off the walls.  ( 1 )

Did you ever hear some of the songs that made the list of "banned" songs on Clear Channel's 1100 plus radio stations after the Sept. 11 attacks?  Well, everything by Rage Against the Machine was on the list (how dare they support Ralph Nader in the 2000 election?).  Also, the beautiful and, all things considered, extremely appropriate "Imagine" by John Lennon made the corporate "cut".  Some choices were just strange.  "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra and "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong and "Peace Train" by Cat Stevens and even "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" by the Beatles were banned from play lists.  Folks, you just gotta love anybody that is still so brain dead as to believe in the long ago discredited "Liberal Media" fantasy.  ( 2 )

If you had any questions about the real reasons that the undeclared war on Afghanistan's civilians is being waged, here is the final and most definitive motivation.  During the time that the Taliban ruled in Afghanistan, Unocal, a huge oil corporation that is based in El Segundo, California,  spent much time and money courting the Taliban leadership in hopes of being granted permission to build an oil pipeline from the Caspian Sea oil fields to ports in Pakistan and India.  Unocal took Taliban leaders on junkets, gave them substantial help in the form of office equipment and paid for medical treatment for many of the Taliban leaders.  Unocal even set up a training school for the Taliban in Kandahar.

Things turned ugly for Unocal around 1996 when Osama bin Laden came to Afghanistan under the protection of the Taliban.  Another development that clouded Unocal's plans was the response from American feminists who were lobbying both the oil company and the Clinton Administration demanding that Unocal stop the project because of the Taliban's repression of women.  So, even though Unocal and the Clinton Administration, each looking out for their own ends, were hesitant to abandon Afghanistan and the Taliban, they both pulled back publicly.  Whether or not contact continued cannot be confirmed although it has become common knowledge that the moron's administration sent $34 million in foreign aid to the Taliban just three months prior to the Sept. 11 attacks.

As for Unocal, a notice on its web site proclaims a bit more innocence than history reveals.  The notice states, "Unocal has received inquiries about a previously proposed pipeline that, if built, would have crossed a part of Afghanistan. We withdrew from that project in 1998, and do not now have - nor plan to have - any projects in that country. We do not support the Taliban in any way whatsoever."  ( 3 & 4 )

We've all heard of Cipro, the potent antibiotic used extensively against the anthrax threats both current and future.  What you haven't heard is that the patent holder for Cipro, Bayer Corporation, has been sued by both consumer groups and the federal regulators for attempting to illegally keep generic variations off the market.  That's right, our very own US arm of multinational Bayer AG paid at least three of its competitors - Barr Laboratories, Rugby, and Hoechst-Marion Roussel - $200 million to cease efforts to bring a generic Cipro to market.  By doing so, Bayer manipulated the price that Americans must pay in the fight against bio-terrorism.

In other words, we are witness to another example of Corporate America doing its level best to screw Americans during the most dangerous of times.  Money, as they say, is not only the root of all evil, it is the only unquestionable love of the sluts in the suites.  If your life must be forfeited in order that Corporate America make even a dime more in profits, then you die, pure and simple.  What grand patriotism these insects exhibit.  ( 5 )

Finally, with so-called "local intelligence gathering" being the basis for the targeting of villages and schools and hospitals throughout Afghanistan, have you wondered who was supplying that information and if, just maybe, they might have a wee agenda in the matter?

Well, if your haven't wondered, then now would a good time to begin.

In fact, just about all of the "intelligence" that our military relied on to determine what was to be considered a target and which wasn't came from the Pakistani version of the CIA.  In fact, every single instance in which the CIA or the US military needed translators when interrogating Afghan prisoners or civilians they used Pakistani intelligence officers.

Now, consider the fact that the Taliban were heavily recruited from mosques in Pakistan and that the Muslims who were to become the core of the Taliban fighters and even Osama bin Laden's terrorists were trained and armed by the Pakistan intelligence organization and you have to also wonder just how much of the "intelligence" had any basis in fact.  Do you think it possible that the Pakistani intelligence officials just might have had any number of agendas that had little or nothing to do with the moron's dirty little war on the citizens of Afghanistan?  Do you think it possible that entire villages were leveled and hundreds of innocent civilians murdered for reasons other than America's interests?  Do you think that the insects that infest the White House are being used to settle generation old grudges?  Matter of fact, can you believe that this vile administration has so little sense that they can so easily be used by members of a Third World country's leaders?  Of course you can believe that.  I be disappointed of you couldn't.  ( 6 )
