Trivia 2X

Okay, ignoring the fact that everything went to hell on 11/5, let's just keep plugging along, informing those that will listen and trying to expose and embarrass those that won't.

First up, one of the many reasons that Corporate America stands just millimeters below the Republican Party on the scale pure evil.  When a war that the moron and his owners are drooling over has absolutely no support in the military and even less in the world's governments, you go looking for a warped little gnome to push your plans in ways that the wealthy can understand, even if it isn't necessarily true.

Charles Schwab, an owner of most of the members of Congress and the White House for many years, was able to proclaim, without the slightest shame at the tens if not hundreds of thousands of lives that will be lost, "A war in Iraq would lift the economy dramatically and bring positive things in the Middle East."

Ignoring the fact that the second half of that statement means absolutely nothing, exactly how can an idiot like this sleep at night knowing that he has spent his life sacrificing the lives of America's children and the children all over the world in his simplistic and sick search for simple and puerile profits?  Does he have absolutely no soul or has his soul become so putrid and diseased that he loves money more than he respects human life?  Your call.  ( 1 )

We're all prepared for the many lies that will pass for news over the next two years.  Nevertheless, we'll root them out whenever possible and pass them along so that you'll have the means to rebut that half-wit at the lunch table that repeats the deceit as if it made some sort of sense.

This time, we'll quote the moron's speech of September 7 in which he proclaimed, "I would remind you that when the inspectors first went into Iraq and were denied, finally denied access, a report came out of the Atomic - the IAEA - that they were six months away from developing a nuclear weapon.  I don't know what more evidence we need."

How about the truth instead?  The reality is that the International Atomic Energy Agency said in 1998 that it "has found no indication of Iraq having achieved its program goal of producing nuclear weapons or of Iraq having retained a physical capability for the production of weapon-useable nuclear material or of clandestinely obtained such material."

To avail ourselves of the moron's own words to expose his stupidity and lies, "I don't know what more evidence we need."  ( 2 )

Actually, one has to no further than the moron's puppet master, Dickie Cheney, to see just how insane the entire bunch of criminals occupying the government truly is.  Consider this quote from the oil man himself from the New York Times on April 13, 1991.

"If you're going to go in and try to topple Saddam Hussein, you have to go to Baghdad.  Once you've got Baghdad, it's not clear what kind of government you would put in place of the one that's currently there now.  Is it going to be a Shia regime, a Sunni regime or a Kurdish regime?  Or one that tilts toward the Baathists, or one that tilts toward the Islamic fundamentalists?  How much credibility is that government going to have if it's set up by the United States military when it's there?  How long does the United States have to stay to protect the people that sign on for that government, and what happens to it once we leave?"

Again, it takes nothing other than quoting these criminals to prove their stupidity and inability to confront reality.  ( 3 )

To cleanse the mouth and mind, here's wee satirical item that you might enjoy.

The U.N. sent out a world-wide opinion poll in which the only question was "Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The poll found that, in Africa they didn't know what "food" meant, in Eastern Europe they didn't understand the word "honest", in Western Europe they didn't understand the word "shortage", in China they didn't understand the word "opinion", in the Middle East they didn't understand the word "solution", and in America they didn't understand the concept "the rest of the world".  ( 4 )

Another nail in coffin of the myth of the "Liberal Media".

Per Rena Golding, general manager of CNN International, on coverage of Afghanistan, "Anyone who claims the U.S. media didn't censor itself is kidding you.  It wasn't a matter of government pressure but a reluctance to criticize anything in a war supported by the vast majority of the people.  And it isn't just a CNN issue - every journalist who was in any way involved in 9/11 is partly to blame."

Think about that statement for a moment.  She admits that the media censored itself and claims that it was because the "vast majority of the people" supported that invasion and carnage and slaughter of innocents.  So, the circle was completed by the media.  The media was told by the government that the vast majority of "the people" supported the war so the media censored any negative information about the war which meant that the vast majority of people that supported the war thought it was all just peachy keen which increased the support which meant that the media censored itself more which meant that "the people" didn't know anything about the tens of thousands of dead men, women and children which made "the people" support the war which means ...  well, you get the idea.  By pulling a curtain between the American people and the stark and devastating realities that their "support" was causing in Afghanistan, the media was basically just another cog in this regime's vast propaganda machine.  By keeping "the people" ignorant of the horrors being inflicted on an entire nation in the fruitless search for one man but the successful installation of a government friendly to the oil industry, the media abetted those murders and that pain and those endless horrors.  It's so far past sad as to make that word meaningless.   Frankly, I'm thankful that there is no such thing as a "liberal media" if this is any indication of how they would behave.  ( 5 )

One of the most disgusting thing that our government so loves is to try to call pure and utter feces anything but.  Case in point is that horrible piece of legislation that they called "No Child Left Behind":.  Now, while this crap was supposedly some sort of education bill, the real reasons for its passage was hidden deep within.  With a title as soothing and positive as "No Child Left Behind", what could anyone find to argue about?

How about the fact that the Solomon Amendment denies federal funds for any college that denies the military unlimited access to their students?  Worse, how about the fact that it requires all schools to give the military contact information to that same military?

For those of you who still prefer that your children view school as a place to acquire knowledge and to do so feeling safe from the violent outside world, you almost have to feel great disgust and alarm.  Not only does the military now have direct access to the homes and phones of every school child in America.  Do you smell the fascism and totalitarian odors rising off this law?  Can you see the power that this type of knowledge hands over to two of the three groups in America that every citizen should fear to their bones; the military and the police (the third being the government, itself)?

The coming wars that the imbecile and his gang of criminals are going to start will become a black hole of death and mutilation into which our children will be suck, destroyed, spit out of and then completely forgotten.  Now that the government has gained the knowledge of where every single American child lives and learns, they will coming to your house to drag them out and take them down to the war machine for processing and burial with maybe a short period of forcing hem to murder other human beings for the profits of Corporate America between.  ( 6 )

Finally, I urge you to check out "The Chickenhawk Boogie" written by one Pat Dawson of Montana and a veteran of the US Army (1968-1970)

The Chickenhawk Boogie

What's the deal? Can this be real, are we goin' to mobilize?
Fight for oil to prove we're loyal? But not us older guys.
We kept our date, back in Sixty Eight, invited by LBJ.
He said "Son, now take this gun, and ... kill me some N-V-A!!!"

Chick, chick, chicken hawks, back there in D.C.
We got the draft while you just laughed, enjoyed your liberty!
No Purple Hearts, no missing parts, guess you were no fool.
Was life that hard, in the National Guard, or graduate school?

Hey Big Fella, used to be yella, but now you say "Let's Roll!"
Commander-in-Chief, gonna give 'em grief, now you're in control.
Wounded brothers, Gold Star mothers, can you look 'em in the face?
Does that flag you wave, make you feel brave, enough to take their place?

Now you say you got to take away our rights that men died for,
While you're cashin' in the fashion of beatin' those drums of war.
Chick, chick, chickenhawks, we'll follow you all the way
Keep on braggin' ... you might get a fraggin' ... on election day!

Another wonderful spoken ditty is "Mike's Talkin' Chicken Hawk Blues" by Herndon

Your Dad might have served
But you never did.
Didn't have the time?
Who you tryin' to kid?

While grunts were dyin'
You weren't a fool
You served your country
In a business school

Korea, 'Nam, the whole
Cold War
Your Dad cashed in
And now there's more.

Make the enemy
What he's not
Build him up while
The market's hot

Pull the strings of
Elected jerks
And scare 'em into
Playin' a role that works.

Elected guys are
Prey for you.
Why change a game
That ain't real new?

Never touched a weapon
Nor dug a hole.
But now you're an expert
"C'mon, let's roll"

Leads fro behind
"Let's drive this road"
But never walked the line
With a combat load.

Won't have to deal
With the price to pay
Just wave the flag
For a brand new day.

Trust fund babies with
Lots of dough
Won't join up so
Poor kids go.

Another generation
Of the Elite
Hears the call
And gets cold feet.

Now some poor slob's
Gonna pay the debt
Of a new Chicken Hawk
That ain't been born yet.
