Is It Possible To Find Unbiased Reporting?

Some shining examples of America's complete loss of anything even resembling an independent, unbiased and rational press.

First up, Tom Brokaw, the NBC anchor, "We don't want to destroy the infrastructure of Iraq because in a few days we're gonna own that country."

CNN anchor Carol Costello blacking out an Iraqi news conference, "All right, we're going to interrupt this press briefing right now because, of course, the U.S. government would disagree with most of what he is saying."

NBC's Today Show anchor Katie Couric, "Well, Commander Thompson, thanks for talking with us at this very early hour out there.  And I just want you to know, I think Navy SEALs rock."

Cumulus Broadcasting's John Dickey, explaining his corporation's decision to blacklist the Dixie Chicks' singer Natalie Maines' had the courage to exercise her First Amendment rights and criticized the moron's policies, "This isn't about freedom of speech.  It's hypocrisy.  She has fans who supported her, especially military people and their families who are hurt by this.  She owes the same level of support back."

A quote we've offered before from CNN News president Eason Jordan but one that should be repeated over and again until the American people understand just how degrading it is to our freedoms and Constitution, "I went to the Pentagon myself several times before the war started and met with important people there and said, for instance, at CNN, here are the generals we're thinking of retaining to advise us on the air and off about the war, and we got a big thumbs-up on all of them.  That was important."  ( 1 )

Dan Rather, anchor of the CBS Evening News, to Larry King during an interview, "Look, I'm an American.  I never tried to kid anybody that I'm some internationalist or something.  And when my country is at war, I want my country to win, whatever the definition of 'win' may be.  Now, I can't and don't argue that that is coverage without a prejudice.  About that I am prejudiced."  ( 2 )

Bill O'Reilly, that lightweight Limbaugh wannabe, explaining the new Constitutional era under the moron's thugs and FOX News' reckless reporting, "Once the war against Saddam begins, we expect every American to support our military, and if they can't do that, to shut up.  Americans, and indeed our allies, who actively work against our military once the war is underway will be considered enemies of the state by me.  Just fair warning to you, Barbra Streisand, and others who see the world as you do." ( 3 )

Neil Cavuto, FOX reporter, "So am I slanted and biased?  You damn well bet I am, professor.  I'm more in favor of a system that lets ne say what I'm saying here rather than one who would be killing me for doing the same thing over there ... You say I wear my biases on my sleeve?  Better that than pretend you have none, but show them clearly in your work."  ( 4 )

FOX & Friends host E.D. Hill, on protestors, "If you don't support the decision to go to war, once that decision has been made, you're not being patriotic."  ( 5 )

When one of FOX's correspondents had the gall to question whether the Iraqis might consider the American military forces as invaders, FOX's David Asman replied, "There is a certain ridiculousness to that point of view."  ( 6 )

Feel free to use these quotes the next time anyone proclaims that they have come to their opinions using all available information.  If they cite even one example of any media news reports as evidence, then it's obvious that they're just sponges for the anti-thought creatures that inhabit our media and government.
